Our vision
Loved by Christ. Formed by truth. Sent with the gospel.
Kept by Christ Church is being formed to be Christ-centred, Scripture-governed, and Spirit-dependent.
We want every part of church life to begin with Jesus Christ: who he is, what he has done, what he teaches, and the hope of his return.
Our mission
Glorify God by making mature disciples of Jesus.
We want people to know Christ, grow in Christ, belong to his people, and join his mission.
Scripture is our final authority. The Holy Spirit brings new life, forms Christlike character, equips the church, and strengthens our witness.
We aim to hold conviction and humility together. We will teach clearly, welcome honest questions, distinguish the gospel from secondary matters, and submit leaders and decisions to meaningful accountability.
Our values
Convictions we want to practise together.
Values become credible when they shape decisions, relationships, habits, and accountability.
-
Jesus above everything
We worship Jesus as Lord and refuse to build the church around personality, platform, or preference.
-
The Word with faithfulness
We read, teach, and obey Scripture carefully, with attention to context and the whole counsel of God.
-
Prayerful dependence
Prayer shapes gatherings, leadership, pastoral care, mission, and major decisions.
-
Life together
We pursue hospitality, truth-telling, forgiveness, mutual care, and accountable membership.
-
Every disciple growing
Maturity belongs to the whole church. We help one another follow Jesus in home, work, relationships, suffering, and service.
-
Mission near and far
We speak the gospel clearly, love our neighbours practically, and seek healthy partnerships beyond ourselves.
-
Humble stewardship
Everything belongs to God. We serve, give, work, and lead with integrity, generosity, and welcome accountability.
How the mission takes shape
John 17:6–18 grounds the name in Christ’s prayer for a people kept in God’s name, sanctified in truth, and sent into the world. Matthew 28:18–20 gives the commission. Acts 2:42–47 gives a pattern of shared church life. Colossians 1:28–29 gives a picture of mature discipleship.

John 17:6–18
Kept in God’s name. Sanctified in truth. Sent into the world.
Love expressed through faithful response.
In John 17, Jesus prays that the Father would keep his people in his name, guard them from evil, sanctify them in the truth, and send them into the world.
The name Kept by Christ begins with his preserving grace. We belong to him before we are sent to live faithfully, love our neighbours, and make disciples.
